Firefox Add-on FireFTP
I use firefox and I have a use for FTP clients so I started playing around with FireFTP . It's free and it handles secure connections. Also allows you to import and export your connections so they can be backed up and moved to another machine or for formatting purposes. Seems like they make updates periodically as well, so that is a good sign to me.
